Chris Hamblin-Level 4 NCCP Olympic Coach
Chris a level 4 NCCP coach and is working on her ACP Head Teaching Pro designation. She has both played and coached at many competitive levels.
This includes appearances at the Provincial Ladies and Provincial and Senior Ladies’ Nationals. She has also played in numerous Provincial Mixed Championships. Chris has coached at all levels including various Provincial, National and World events receiving a silver medal at the European Mixed Championship and co-coaching at the 2010 Olympics to a Bronze medal. Together with Lorne, Chris was National Coach for Switzerland for 2 years and China for 2 years. Together Lorne and Chris have managed numerous curling and non-curling events.
Lorne Hamblin-Level 4 NCCP Olympic Coach
Lorne is a level 4 NCCP coach and is working on his ACP Head Teaching Pro designation. He has both played and coached at many competitive levels.
This includes several appearances as a player at the Manitoba Men’s Championship and the Manitoba Mixed Championship. Lorne has coached at all levels including the 2002 World Junior Men’s title, various placements at the European Championship, the World Championship and the Olympics, winning the Bronze medal in 2010. Lorne has coached Men’s, ladies, mixed and Juniors at variousl levels. Together with Chris, Lorne was National Coach for Switzerland for 2 years and China for 2 years. Together Lorne and Chris have managed numerous curling and non-curling events.
Reece Hamm-Competition Coach
My name is Reece Hamm. I have been involved in curling for the last 15 years. I have been curling on the competitive stage for 13 years. While curling competitively I have competed at the U21 National Curling Championships from 2022-2024, earning 4th place finish as well as a bronze medal. I have competed at the Men's Provincial Championship a handful of times over the last couple of years. During the 2024-2025 curling season I assisted in coaching Team Sugden as they went on to win the U18 Provincial Championships. Some areas I like to help out with in terms of coaching would be the technicals, balance, release, as well as strategy.
Ross Derksen-Competition Coach
I am a NCCP Certified Competition Coach and have been coaching for 15 years. I have experience running junior programs as well as coaching competitive teams (U13, U18, U20, High School). I enjoy teaching the technicals and innovations of curling, as well as working with teams as they develop their game."

Charlie White-Competition Coach
Junior Coordinator
Charlie has lots of experience curling and competing. He completed his competition coach training a few years ago and has already put his training to good use. Charlie has spent many hours with the school groups that attend the centre helping the beginners learn the basics and the more advanced fine tune skills. He has been coordinating the Morris Junior program as well as participating as a lead instructor. Charlie worked both with individuals and teams to help enhance their curling experience. Charlie takes great pleasure in helping youth of all levels develop
their skills.
Cam Hurst
Certified Competition Coach with expertise in high performance curling. Using a data driven approach, I specialize in strategy and technical refinement, along side mental performance and ice management. I create, structured, competitive environments, focussed on athlete growth, team cohesion and
consistent podium level results. If you're a new curler wanting to see personal growth, or a seasoned curler wanting a technical check up, or a HP curler, I can develop a personal plan suited to the individual.
